Cimarron Elementary School
600 North Second Street
Cimarron Elementary School, located in Cimarron, Kansas, serves grades Pre-kindergarten through 6. Our September 21st enrollment number for the 2015-2016 school year was 404 students.
Cimarron Elementary is proud of the academic excellence it has demonstrated over a long period of time. We look forward to moving ahead with the rigorous standards that are now in place, and continuing to show growth during our third year of taking the new state assessments.
We strive every day to provide an environment which encourages physical activity and fosters development of a positive self-image and success in academics and the arts. We offer physical education and music classes every day for our Kindergarten through 6th grade students. Band classes are available for 5th and 6th grades.
The USD #102 Board of Education is dedicated to keeping our class sizes small. During the 2016-2017 school year, we expect all classes will be under 20 or fewer students.
We will be entering the third year of having all of our 4th-6th grade classes, the ESL class and PE located in the new addition. The new facility allows us to have our Migrant, Head Start and 4-year-old kinderprep classes on campus.
