A
High School Diploma Program

|
People drop out of school for all kinds of reasons. Life deals us choices that takes us in different directons. As right as they seem at the time, those choices don't always pan out. Would you like a second chance to receive a high school diploma? The community Learning Center can help! The Community Learnng Center is for people 18 years or older who want to receive a high school diploma, not a GED! The Community Learning Center is also available to home-schooled students, faith-based students, teenage parents, and those under 18 years of age. In this setting, students will complete academic curriculum using computer-based course instruction and applications supplied by the Community Learning Center. Each student will advance at his or her own pace with a teacher available for assistance when needed. Added learnng opportunities will be provided by staff to fill in the gaps. The length of time to receive a diploma depends on the number of credits needed. A highly motivated student can complete courses in much less time because the instruction is highly focused and the student may spend as much time on a given subject per day as he or she prefers. Upon completion of all necessary credits, a high school diploma is issued from the sponsoring school district. Hours are flexible for the students to attend class in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Students who enroll in the Community Learnng Center can still hold down a job and attend class each week! |
