Dear Parents:
Welcome back to Cimarron Elementary School. I hope that all of you had a restful and enjoyable summer! We are eager to see the children and watch them grow and learn throughout the school year. All of the staff at CES are ready to support your child, and ensure their success.
We will kick off our new school year with a “CES Meet the Teacher” Monday, Aug 21, 2023. This event will run from 6:00-7:00 pm. All parents and children are asked to attend. I would love for your children to meet their teacher, find their desks and unpack supplies before the first day of school.
Below you will find some information that will be helpful in making your child’s transition successful:
First Day:
The first day of school is Aug 23, 2023
School Hours:
Pre-Kindergarten-Sixth grade: First bell is at 7:50am and instruction begins at 8:00am.
Students will wait with the class in the gym for announcements, and walk with their class to their classrooms.
Attendance and Tardiness
When absences or tardiness occurs, parents should notify the school office by calling 620-855-3343. Office staff will be calling daily for absences.
How to Help….
Please get your students to school on time. Mornings are prime learning time and it is important that students are in their seats and ready for instruction.
Please limit signing your child out early. This causes a disruption and the child misses important information in the afternoon.
Attendance is important. A child in their primary years cannot learn if they are not at school. Please make attendance a priority.
